The WSO Mozart Festival closes with Mozartiana. The title work, composed by Tchaikovsky, drew inspiration from and quotes several works by Mozart, including Ave Verum Corpus presented earlier in the Mozart Festival. The virtuosic talent of our own musicians comes fully into the spotlight as WSO Principal Violist performs Walton's moving Viola Concerto. Mozart's lavish Symphony no. 38, "Prague" brings the concert and the festival to a jubilant close.
